Like our all inclusive Belize Adventurer package, this Active Adventurer is for those who want to see what adventures await in rainforest and on the reef.
The Active Adventurer amps things up a bit and provides some truly exciting ways to explore Belize: ancient Mayan ruins, caves where secret rituals were performed, canoeing and kayaking beautiful clear-running streams and ziplining through the rainforest canopy, a hundred feet above the forest floor.
Your stay begins after you arrive Belize City and venture deep into the jungle of the Cayo District to our comfortable lodge. This will be your base for the next several days where you'll take day trips to the massive ___ ruins, explore astoundingly beautiful caves where Mayans offered sacrifices to their gods.
Designed for active travelers who enjoy exploring Mayan ruins, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, caving and snorkeling.
Begin your adventure on the great Belizean barrier reef, the second-largest in the world, snorkeling, kayaking and [optional] scuba diving.
Then off to the interior mountains of the Cayo District to explore ancient Mayan burial caves, go cave tubing, hiking, river kayaking and canoeing and exploring the famous ruins of Tikal, in nearby Guatemala! All included in your package price, alonge with meals, lodging and transfers!

Spend time snorkeling and kayaking on the great Belizean barrier reef. Then off to the interior for excellent bird watching, howler monkeys and other wildlife, night rides by airboat to spot caimans and other nocturnal animals. Explore the famous Lamanai ruins. All included in your package price, alonge with meals, lodging and transfers!

Price includes: all meals as indicated on itinerary, accommodations, in-country transfers (except R/T air from Belize City to Dangriga for Isla Marisol Resort only), and all activities as described in the itinerary.
Price does not include: $240 Blue Hole trip marine reserve fee & hotel taxes (Blackbird only--minimum of 6), snorkel or dive equipment rental, R/T air from Belize City to Dangriga $150 pp RT (for Isla Marisol Resort only), airport departure tax, tips, beverages and items of a personal nature. Taxes of 12.5% at Turneffe Island Resort.
Single supplement is 50% of the regular tour cost.
*Upgrade to a deluxe cabana at Blackbird Caye Resort only for an additional $350 per person or superior for $100 per person.

Climate is sub-tropical, temperatures range from the mid 80's during the day to the low 70's at night. Casual attire is a must. A light jacket or sweater can come in handy in the evenings in the winter. Water temperatures range from 75-82 F.
Flights available on American, Continental, Delta, TACA or US Air.
Belize requires a valid passport for all visitors to enter the country. Passport must be valid 6 months from your departure date. If you are not a US citizen, check for visa requirements.
Transfers to/from the island are on Wednesdays & Saturdays only from Belize City. Transfers on Saturdays are by air from Belize City's Goldson International Airport, and on Wednesdays by boat. Departure from the island is approximately 8:00am. There are no activities on day of arrival or departure for arriving or departing passengers. If traveling any day other than specified transfer day, a special air charter must be reserved at an additional $350 (US) one-way (based on two guests). We can arrange lodging in Belize City, should you need it, for an additional fee.
Our representatives will greet you at the Belize City airports & transfer to our charter flight or boat, depending on your arrival day. Flight time is approximately 20 minutes and boat sailing time is approximately one and a half hours. Dress comfortably and don't forget sunscreen, hats & sunglasses.
Rates are subject to change and may vary for events beyond our control, such as changes in taxes. Please make checks payable to Caye Resorts in US dollars. A 20% deposit per person is due within 10 days of reservation. We accept Visa & MasterCard for deposit only. Balance payable by check 60 days prior to arrival.
Reservations made and confirmed less than 45 days prior to arrival are to be paid in full upon receipt of confirmation.
Cancellations made up to 90 days prior to arrival receive a full refund less a $200.00pp cancellation fee. 89 to 60 days prior will forfeit deposit. 59 - 31 days forfeit 50% of total & 30 days or less no monies will be refunded. During peak seasons or holidays, other conditions may apply.
Unused portions of accommodations, meals and/or activities are non-refundable.
All boat itineraries are weather and conditions permitting at Captain's discretion.
All dives are at Divemaster's discretion.
Turneffe Island Resort, Blackbird Caye Resort, Caye Resorts, Isla Marisol, Lamanai and duPlooys Resorts will not be responsible for any loss of or damage to personal equipment or property. We will not accept responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside our control such as late arrival of flights, severe weather, acts of God, acts of government, or the failure of any machinery or equipment.
